Services: New homeless youth drop-in center, The drop-in center, which ordinarily draws many of its volunteers from the University community, provides a safe environment, peer-led educational programs, outreach and prevention programs, food, healthcare and referral services, showers, laundry , voicemail, computers, phones, housing search and job services, and a chance to be empowered by being accepted and listened to as a valuable member of the community at large. Clients: Homeless Youth
Size: Each year,CCAA serves 600 clients of whom 90% are persons with a drug dependency problem;40% are female;over 50% were infected with the virus by intravenous drug use and over 65% are racial and/or linguistic minorities. For more info go to website.

Volunteers: Youth on Fire, is looking for volunteers for the holiday season.CCAA needs a team to provide telephone coverage and reception at our front desk during regular business hours in shifts of three or four hours;and are welcome to use the front desk computer for word processing or internet access.
Duties: Responsibilities include answering the phone and greeting visitors as well as other light clerical work. Individuals must be non-judgmental and respectful of clients right to confidentiality.
