Services: Project Bread is dedicated to alleviating, preventing and ending hunger in Massachusetts. Volunteers: http://www.projectbread.org/volunteering_at_project_bread.htm On Sunday, May 6, more than 40,000 people participated in Project Bread’s Walk for Hunger, raising over $3 million for hungry people across the state. School groups, religious groups, corporate teams, and individuals took part in this Massachusetts tradition, which has been helping hungry Massachusetts residents for more than 30 years. The proceeds from the Walk will provide funding for nearly 400 emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, food banks, and food salvage programs throughout the state.
Duties: Volunteers are essential to Project Bread - The Walk for Hunger. Your time is one of our greatest resources. From stuffing envelopes to working with the FoodSource Hotline, each and every task you perform is important and valuable. The Project Bread offices are conveniently located near North Station on the Green and Orange lines of the T. This is a partial listing of volunteer opportunities at Project Bread.
