Services: Food, daytime shelter, storage space for belongings, and a mailing address for clients. Also provides assessment of services needed, advocacy, AIDS education, group discussions, Information & Referral services.
Clients: Ages 18-60 (most 20-40), male and female (6G80% male), occasional families, mothers
Size: Four full-time, five part-time, and four volunteer staff serving 30 to 75 people daily.
Donations: Upgraded furniture for dining hall, pots, pans, cooking utensils, rugs, tiling or linoleum for floors, games, books, magazines, posters, music tapes, art supplies. Also needed are holiday food products, hats, gloves, scarves, socks and space heaters for the Center.
Volunteers: Monday-Thursday, 12 noon to 4 pm.
Duties: Help needed with intake, assessment, information and referrals, individual and group discussion/counseling, and activities.
Requirements: Volunteers should be 21 yrs + , male or female, mature, sensitive, respectful, and have some "life experience."
Drop-off Time: Monday-Friday 10 am to 3:30 pm (please call first). Assistance by prearrangement. Tax receipt available.
