Forty Years Later
by atsakarissianos Posted at Here is a video of Jesse Jackson we did last month. Although it will play in a browser it should be played in quicktime player in order to be viewed properly. We are trying to understand why this is. This particular version was compressed using "Compressor". We are also anxious to see if ITunes picks this up since the file extension is .mov and not .m4v
You should be able to use full screen mode as long as you use quictime player. My initial test of the Compressor file indicates that ITunes did not pick it up. I am now going to add a table and put a different file type alongside. Its the same video just a different type. Lets see if ITunes pick it up.
Well that worked. ITunes picked it up right away. This means that part of the process needs to be to use FCP's IPod export as well as simple save and IPod in quicktime.

Nobody Knows Us
by Apaulikovich Posted at 'Nobody Knows Us' deals with how the media portrays the homeless population in America and how that affects how many Americans see the homeless. The film attempts to shed light on some of the stereotypes of the homeless in the media, using clips from popular films from the 1930's to the present, television news and and archival newsreels from the depression. Using interviews with homeless advocates, formerly homeless people and others, it attempts to establish both why these stereotypes flourish, and means that can be undertaken to change them. This video was done by Max Lewontin. Max was a student of Shawmut Education Director Matt Landry in the Cambridge Community Television Summer Media Institute (SMI) Program. Shawmut Education Executive Director David Pearson also participates in the video alongside Michael Stoopes, Executive Director of the National Coalition For The Homeless and David Pirtle, a member of the Speakers Bureau for the National Coalition For The Homeless.
